Hair and Makeup: Sarah Burgeest

R&B singer Cory Lee has made quite a name for herself, and has inspired a wealth of fans, over the last few years. Since her debut album “What a Difference A Day Makes” shot by your truly, Cory has exploded not just in the music scene, but also on the film side of the entertainment industry. You can now see her on the Much Music aired Degrassi Jr. High season 2010, where she plays a school teacher. Now living in Toronto, these are a few of her shots from the last time we met up with her in Vancouver.

818 Channel asked us to do some of the promo work for the pageant, which is holding its first event in Vancouver this year. There is no shortage of fun and challenges to shooting group and single shots, especially when shooting 12 beautiful women in multiple locations. With short time constraints, and a large production, everyone came together and did a wonderful job. The event takes place August 31st at the River Rock Theater. We are also happy to become a sponsor for the event. Best of success to all the contestants.

She is no stranger to the beauty industry. As a stylist for the last 10+ years, we worked with Alexandera since her first Contessa finalist win back in 2004. Since then, she has become a quintessential part of our knowledge shooting hair, and thus we have all been rewarded, with finalist and winning entries for Contessa, Mirror, and the L’oreal Color Trophy beauty awards. Along with her photo work being published, she has also been featured in Fashion Magazine. A Vidal Sassoon trained cutter, she now works with the likes of some of the best hairstylists in Canada, educating for L’oreal Professional. When she isn’t traveling or educating, she can be found working at Richard Ego Salon in Richmond. Its always a yearly epic shoot we look forward to being a part of!
